Check Valve

A Check Valve is also called Non-return Valve, that allows fluid to flow through it in only one direction. Check valves work automatically and most are not controlled by a person or any external control; accordingly, most do not have any valve handle or stem.

There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications, e.g. swing check valves, piston check valves(lift check valves), wafer check valves(dual-plate and single-plate), tilting disc check valves. They provide various flow rates, closure times and mounting positions for different pipelines.

Check valves are used in many fluid systems such as those in chemical, and power plants, and in many other industrial processes. Kolink check valves can be with flanged ends, butt weld ends, socket weld ends and screwed ends, and are constructed with various materials of cast carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steels, and forged steels.

The Cross-section of a Typical Cast Steel Swing Check Valve:

1) A hinge and hinge pin mounted to permit free movement of the disc.

2) Renewable welded-in or screwed-in seats provide a bubble tight joint.

3) Standard swing disc type, used in horizontal position for liquid application.

4) Internal hinge design eliminates body penetration and eases maintenance since all parts are accessible from the top. Through-body hinge Pin design also available for extra lever, counter weighter and damper.
